I’m the Ellen of ellen Living and I am glad that you have found my little blog. I wanted to have a way to converse with friends, family and others about the things that affect our “living like family, health, economics and other important topics that impact our lives. I also wanted a place where we could have open discussions about beauty, fashion and shopping, sharing tips and advice with each other.
As for me, I am interested in all kinds of topics, labeling myself an Infomaniac. I have another blog, Confessions of an Infomaniac, where I share more about technology and web 2.0 applications, more from my intellectual self. Writing about a great website in one post and then transitioning to writing a post about a soul-searching conversation I had with a friend in the other just doesn’t seem to mix well for me. And, I didn’t want to turn off my male readers at my other blog by writing about the next great anti-aging cream on the market and the weekend sale at Overstock.com.
Issues that are important for me are personal and spiritual growth, caring for an aging parent, dealing with chronic illness and making financial decisions that will see me through the next few decades (I hope). On the lighter side I love to discuss movies, television, books, shopping and fashion.
And, lastly I do surf the Internet a lot both for work and pleasure. I will share sites and applications that add some value to “living” whether it be the serious issues or something fun.
