Hi Jean,

Welcome to my new blog. I like beliefnet as well. When I took the belief quiz it had me as a neo-Quaker. Pretty neat.

Being of service is a great way to get out of our own way. Blogs are one way of helping others through conversation and encouragement. You are being of service to me just by posting your comment. Thanks.

When things get really bad I hug my teddy bear and cry. Then I figure out a way to lighten someone else's burden.
I subscribe to some of the beliefnet.com offerings, so I get a daily fix there. I also keep my spirit well-nourished by short daily readings or listening to tapes.
One of my favorite quotes is by Kathleen Norris:
"Prayer is not asking for what you think you want, but asking to be changed in ways you can't imagine."
